McSherrystown Borough Police, in partnership with local volunteers, will host a Medicine Take Back event to safely dispose of unused, expired, or found medicinal drug items. The event is set for Saturday, April 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Moose Lodge, located at 534 South Street.
Participants are encouraged to bring any medications they wish to dispose of, with the exception of syringes. However, officers will be available to provide advice on how to safely dispose of syringes.
For those unable to attend the event, the McSherrystown Police Department offers an alternative. Unused or expired medications can be dropped off at the disposal bin located in the lobby of the police department during regular working hours. This ongoing service provides a convenient and responsible way to dispose of unneeded medications, helping to ensure they do not pose a risk to health or the environment.
