A garage fire in Guilford Township drew a swift response from Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department and neighboring units early yesterday morning. Fire engines were dispatched to a property on the 1100 block of Anthony Highway just before 8 AM.
Upon arrival, Engine 7-2 reported a 15×20 cinder block garage emitting smoke from all sides. Firefighters, extending a 300-foot hose, quickly controlled the blaze, preventing further spread. The incident, initially a full alarm, was scaled down, leaving Company 7 and Company 5 to manage the overhaul operations.

The scene was under the command of Deputy Chief 7. Photographs documenting the firefighting efforts were provided by Scanner02 Fire Photography among other contributors. No injuries were reported in the incident.
