Early this morning at 2 AM, a fire alarm alerted Franklin Fire Company to a fire at a commercial building on Opportunity Avenue, Greene Township, under box alarm 44-13 at Letterkenny. The initial dispatch included Station 4 and Company 13.
Engine 13-2 from Letterkenny Army was the first to arrive, encountering a single-story commercial building showing no external signs of fire. However, an internal investigation revealed moderate smoke filling the building. In response, Engine 45, while still en route, requested an escalation to a box alarm.

Firefighting teams entered the building to discover a table saw, a wood bin, and a metal barrel ablaze. The initial crew managed to control the fire swiftly and shifted focus to ventilating the smoke-laden building. The operations, led by Sgt 44-2 (Miller), who assumed command, continued for approximately two hours, successfully containing and handling the incident without further escalation.
