
During the Franklin County Commissioners’ public meeting on March 26, Teresa Anthony was recognized as the Employee of the Month for March. Anthony, who has served as the director of the county’s domestic relations office since September 1985, is set to retire after nearly four decades of service.
Selected by the Special Thanks and Recognition (STAR) Committee, Anthony was one of 25 nominees for this month’s award, receiving four nominations herself. Her long tenure was frequently highlighted in nominations, particularly her dedication to the welfare of Franklin County’s children and the smooth operation of her department.
Colleagues praised Anthony for her leadership during significant transitions, including office relocations and system upgrades. Her efforts to prepare the office for her departure were emphasized, with one nominator noting her dedication to ensuring a seamless transition and readiness for upcoming audits.
Anthony’s approach to leadership and her interpersonal relationships were also lauded, with team members appreciating her daily interactions and personal concern for her staff’s well-being.

The Franklin County Commissioners extended their gratitude to Anthony for her years of service and leadership, noting her role in setting a high standard for both the office and community relations.
