Buttonwood Nature Center invites area families on a free, guided hike along the Appalachian Trail on Sunday, April 27 from 1 to 3 p.m. as part of their Naturalist Discovery Series of programs.
The hike is geared for families with children age 7 and older.
Led by a Buttonwood naturalist, hikers will explore some of the wonders to be found in the woods and along the byways.
“With spring underway, we will see a lot of local flora as we hike along the Appalachian Trail,” said Pam Rowland, Buttonwood education site coordinator and program organizer.
The event is free but pre-registration is required. Register online at Buttonwood’s website: www.buttonwoodnaturecenter.org. The meeting place for the hike will be sent after registration.
